Our Team

Today, Cool Sound is moving its story forward with a team that brings together musical experience, technical expertise and fresh creative ideas.

We remain committed to the high-quality sound and attention to detail that have defined the studio for more than 25 years. We work with performers on recording, arrangements and music production, maintain our extensive catalogue of professional backing tracks, and create audiobooks, audio theatre and other distinctive sound projects.

Yulia Mileva

Yulia Mileva

Sound engineer & sound designer

Yulia combines a professional musical education with practical experience both on stage and in the studio. As a musician, she understands how personal and vulnerable stepping up to the microphone can be, and knows how important a calm atmosphere, trust and attention to detail are.

In her work she shapes the sound elements so that the voice, the music and the atmosphere sound natural and serve the overall feel of the project.

Whether it's music, an audiobook or audio theatre, Yulia approaches every project with the same goal — for the listener to hear not just good sound, but a story that sounds true.
Ivelin Trakiyski

Ivelin Trakiyski

Composer, arranger, sound engineer & live sound

Ivelin has been connected with Cool Sound since childhood, when he recorded his first songs here. He studied piano at the 'Dobri Hristov' National School of Arts, and later began creating original music and developing his work in composition, arrangement and sound engineering.

He has practical experience both in the studio and in live sound for music events, including the Q-Jazz Festival and '48 Hours Varusha South'.

As a composer and arranger, Ivelin approaches a project from the musical idea itself — looking for the right form, sound and solution for the particular performer. His experience in the studio and live helps him connect the creative direction with the practical demands of recording and the stage.
Evtim Gruev

Digital solutions

Evtim looks after the technical infrastructure behind Cool Sound — from the website and digital systems to maintaining the instrumentals catalogue and adapting musical materials.

With many years of experience in software development and complex technology solutions, he brings reliability, consistency and engineering attention to detail to the studio's work.

His work stays mostly behind the scenes, but it is precisely what keeps the catalogue, the services and the creative processes accessible and running smoothly.
Nina Grueva

Nina Grueva

Management, development & partnerships

Nina is responsible for developing Cool Sound, attracting new projects and building partnerships, as well as for the link between clients and the creative team.

Her professional background in developing people and organizations helps her understand different perspectives, ask the right questions and turn an initial idea into a clear and realistic process.

She develops the studio's services and direction, seeks new opportunities and makes sure every project is well structured, communicated and supported from the first conversation to the finished result.

Our Mission

We help musical ideas, voices and stories reach their audience through professional sound, artistic sensitivity and a genuinely personal approach.

For more than 25 years, we have supported performers with high-quality backing tracks for competitions, festivals, concerts and stage appearances. We keep them affordable because we believe that young artists and performers taking their first steps on stage deserve access to professional musical accompaniment.

Today, we carry that same mission forward by creating audiobooks, audio theatre and other sound projects that help words, characters and ideas find their audience.

We don’t simply record sound. We help talent, words and ideas be heard.

Our Story

Cool Sound Recording Studio was founded in Varna in February 1998 by Krasimir Iliev - a musician and arranger with an exceptional ear for quality sound and хигхест standards in music production.

From the very beginning, the studio established itself as a trusted partner for studio recording, arrangements and professional sound - first in Varna and later throughout Bulgaria. Its reputation was built on precision, attention to detail and a consistently professional approach.

Combining extensive technical knowledge, carefully selected equipment and a distinctive musical instinct, Krasimir Iliev achieved a balanced, clean and reliable sound - essential both for studio recordings and for the creation of professional backing tracks.

Even before founding the studio, Krasimir Iliev had established himself as a recognised arranger with a distinctive style and exacting standards.

Over the years, Cool Sound became a place for recording and creative collaboration with many established Bulgarian singers and musicians, including Margarita Hranova, Desi Dobreva, Deyan Nedelchev, Teddy Genev, Toni Tomova and many others. These projects helped build the studio’s lasting reputation as a trusted partner in recording and music production.
